Becoming a good judge of character is an important skill to build, and it is a skill that can be learned.
Being a great judge of character is an important skill for anyone who is looking to take charge of their life. To build strong, lasting and valuable relationships in life, we need to evaluate the ones around us. We often attribute this skill to intuition and we believe that some people are just naturals. While intuition plays a role, this is a skill that can and should be mastered. Being a good judge of character also teaches you lessons on how others perceive you.
We found an article which addresses questions you should ask yourself when evaluating people in your life. Check out the full list of questions in this article. Below are some of our favourites:
Pay attention to actions: What does the person do with their free time? Do they waste it away, OR work on improving themselves?
Interests: What are they interested in? Are they well-read? Do they enjoy physical activity?
Listen: Is every conversation about them? Self-absorbed people tend to concentrate on themselves.
Trust your intuition: When you get an overwhelming sense about someone, you best listen.
